Aluminium Offshore is proud to see the successful completion of our  Enhanced Safety™ helipad on Frankston Hospital.

The new rooftop helipad is part of the hospital’s redevelopment project, the largest public health infrastructure upgrade in Melbourne’s south-east.

With this helipad, it will enable rapid access for critically ill or injured patients, either directly into the new 12-storey clinical services tower or for onward transfer to specialised care.

From design engineering through to manufacturing, logistics, and on-site supervision, our project team worked closely with the contractor to ensure alignment with all related requirements. Our Enhanced Safety^TM helipad comes with our patented built-in fire suppression system, which quickly retards jet fuel related fires, should there be an unfortunate helicopter crash. Together with a water-only DIFFS, the fire will be retarded in less than 4 seconds. Rooftop helipads remain an essential part of modern hospital infrastructure, enabling rapid emergency access and lifesaving care when every second counts.
