A complete offshore helideck project involves more than the deck itself. Bird deterrence keeps the surface usable. Environmental monitoring keeps flight operations compliant with CAP 437. Both have to be specified, procured, installed, integrated and commissioned alongside the deck, the lighting, the firefighting system and the support structure.

Most operators run these as parallel procurement tracks with separate vendors, separate project managers and separate commissioning windows. Each handover is a coordination problem and a potential gap in accountability.

Seabirds off the deck. Year-round.

Offshore environments attract seabirds. Their presence on a helideck compromises safety, hygiene, deck markings and flight readiness. The BDS package uses bio-acoustic technology that emits natural bird distress calls to keep the deck clear, without harming the birds.

What it does:

  • Prevents bird contamination and obstruction of critical deck markings
  • Reduces cleaning and maintenance downtime
  • Maintains ready-for-landing conditions year-round

Real-time deck data. Ready for the pilot.

For offshore and floating installations, accurate environmental data is essential to flight safety. Our HMS packages deliver real-time monitoring of weather and deck motion in compliance with UKCAA CAP 437 and ICAO Annex 14.

What it monitors:

  • Wind speed and direction, temperature, pressure, humidity
  • Deck inclination, heave, roll and pitch (for floating installations)
  • Visibility and cloud height

Integrated outputs:

  • Pre-flight displays for pilots
  • On-deck displays at landing point
  • Compliance reporting per CAP 437
