A 22.3m XE Enhanced Safety helideck with 7.3m all-aluminium support truss frame for an LQ replacement project for client SSB

The B11 is a special redevelopment project requiring specialist collaboration and innovative ways of building light weight stressed skin living quarters with our light weight aluminium Enhanced Safety™ Helideck and support truss. The aluminium support frame was designed as a two level structure to allow the structural members to accomodate all LQ services like escape routes and HVAC ducting.

The deck is designed to cater for Sikorsky S61N and Sikorsky S92 operations and the total weight of the Helideck and support truss is under 50MT. The aluminium support truss is cantilevered 6.4m over the steel LQ frame supports.

The entire project was successfully loaded out on 14 April 2009.
