This 27.2m helideck was designed and built for the vessel ‘Deepwater Pacific’ at Samsung Heavy Industries. Suitable for operating a Boeing Chinook twin rotor helicopter which weighs 21.3MT. The support structure depth for this helideck was 3.5m. Vessel Class ABS and CAA design specifications were UKCAA CAP437. The project was completed in Mar 2008 and the vessel will commence service with the Reliance Industries Group of India. More details are at Transocean Deepwater Pacific 1 hull to be launched in March.
