Exciting changes that are taking place at the Aluminium Offshore Group. We have recently reached agreement with the Apply group (Apply) from Norway to co-invest in the Aluminium Offshore Group and co-operate to design, build and supply modular aluminium living quarters for the offshore industry.
AN ENLARGED BUSINESS
This arrangement creates an enlarged business group comprising the existing aluminium helidecks and related structures business of the Aluminium Offshore Group and the creation of an aluminium living quarters business in Asia. The arrangement leverages the respective strengths of the Aluminium Offshore Group and Apply and represents a major step forward to better serve a fast-growing, global market.
FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF ALUMINIUM OFFSHORE
For Aluminium Offshore, this arrangement will see even further development to realise the long held goal to become the leading design, engineering and manufacturing business focused on aluminium heli-decks and related structures for the oil and gas, marine and commercial sectors on a global basis.
To do so, it is envisaged there will be further development of the organisation, continued growth with and for existing customers and markets, expansion into new geographic markets and addition of new products and services.
There will be no change in the management of operations of Aluminium Offshore.
CREATION OF APPLY LEIRVIK INTERNATIONAL
This arrangement will see the creation of Apply Leirvik International, a business headquartered in Singapore and focused on the delivery of modular aluminium living quarters for Asia Pacific markets and built in Asia.
The creation of Apply Leirvik International will establish a world-class capability in Asia Pacific to develop and deliver modular, aluminium living quarters. This investment will capitalise on Apply Leirvik’s aluminium living quarter technology, Apply Emtunga’s modular production technology and Aluminium Offshore’s Asian supply chain, procurement & production capabilities.
The new company addresses a large, emerging market for such products due to their ability to save weight for customers, to create cleaner working environments for employees and to save significant costs in total capital expenditures.
A new, Asian based management team will be mobilized in due course to drive the development of the business and to run the operations of Apply Leirvik International.
